Using Humor in Psychology

Using humor in psychotherapy has been one of the things that I find helps to create that important bond between therapist and client. When we can both let our hair down so to speak and be humans together in laughter is really special. I don’t believe in sharing much about myself in therapy, the time is really for you, my client. But, I can and do share in your feelings, sadness, anger, fear or joy! My job is always to get how you are feeling and thinking, no judgments, just understanding and caring about you. It is nice to see it in print how much laughing together enhances psychotherapy. Check out this article.
